Plate arm harness for second half of XV c. in production Fully made from medium carbon steel, heat hardened and tempered up to 38-42 HRC.
Klappvisier bascinet made from medium carbon steel. Skull and visor raised on hot, each from one piece of steel. Heat hardened and tempered, final hardness is 40 - 42 HRC = 392 - 416 VHP
Skull raised from steel circle 2 mm thick. Final thickness of the skull is about 3 - 3,2 mm on the top and about ok. 1,8 - 2 mm on the lower edges.
After heat hardening
Hourglass gauntlets made from medium carbon steel. Heat hardened and tempered, final hardness is 38 - 42 HRC = 372 - 416 VHP
After heat hardening
Great bascinet made from medium carbon steel. Skull and visor raised on hot, each from one piece of steel. Heat hardened and tempered, final hardness is 40 - 42 HRC = 392 - 416 VHP
